Moped Driver Hospitalized After Colliding With SUV In Westchester

Westchester County Police are investigating a moped crash that left a man hospitalized after he collided with an SUV in Mount Kisco.

A Manhattan man suffered serious injuries at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, when the moped he was driving collided with an SUV near the intersection of Main Street and South Bedford Road.

Investigators said that Dani Vasco, 27, was traveling northbound on Main Street when he struck a Toyota SUV that was turning left from Main Street onto South Bedford Road. The driver of the SUV, Queens resident Heung Pyo Hong, was not injured, nor was a passenger in his Toyota.

Westchester EMS and members of the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps. responded at the scene and treated Vasco for his injuries before he was transported to the Westchester Medical Center for further evaluation. Police described his injuries as “serious.”

The investigation into the crash is ongoing by the Westchester County Police Accident Investigation Team.
